LBMA/LPPM Global Precious Metals Conference 2025 - In-Person Registration Sold Out; Virtual Registration Now Available

Please note that spaces at the LBMA/LPPM Global Precious Metals Conference 2025 have now sold out.

We are pleased to let you know that you can now register to attend the Conference virtually. You can book individually, or there is a special virtual group rate ticket which gives access to up to five people.

Plan Your Visit Now

In the interest of planning ahead, please use the following information to plan your journey from the airport to the Conference venue or your hotel. Remember: there will be networking events on Friday, 24 and Saturday, 25 October, so plan your visit accordingly.

If you are travelling from Haneda Airport, Tokyo (HND):

Take a taxi from the airport to Tokyo Station (railway).

  • Taxi pick-up is at the Terminal 3 stand.
  • Taxis cost between 8,000 and 12,000 JPY (approx. £40-£60).
  • Approx. a 25-minute drive.

Or take the Keikyu Line train northeast towards Shinagawa, from the airport to Tokyo Station (railway).

  • The Keikyu Line platform is at Terminal 1 (B1F).
  • The train costs 410 JPY (approx. £2.20).
  • Approx. a 13-minute journey.

Then take Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station (approx. 130 minutes).

  • To buy a ticket, either do so:
    • via the JR website or app. A video guide for booking tickets and boarding can be found here.
    • by going to the kiosk and speaking to a member of staff.
  • Follow directions in the train station for ‘Shinkansen’ tracks.
  • Your train ticket will confirm which platform number you are.
  • Be sure to check your seat allocation and go to the correct train carriage.
  • If you are travelling with large luggage, make sure to book this with your ticket (green car) to make sure you have space to store this.
  • You can select your seats when booking your ticket. If you would like a view of Mount Fuji, book a seat on the right side of the train.

Once you arrive in Kyoto, the best way to travel to your hotel is via taxi. There are taxi stands at both the north and south entrances of Kyoto Station.

If you are travelling from Narita Airport, Tokyo (NRT):

Take a taxi from the airport to Tokyo Station (railway).

  • Taxi pick up is at the Terminal 3 stand.
  • Taxis cost approx. 29,000 JPY (approx. £150).
  • Approx. a 50-minute drive.

Or take the Narita Express from Terminal 1 or 2-3 to Tokyo Station (railway).

  • The train costs 3,020 JPY (approx. £16).
  • Approx. a 53-minute journey.

Then take Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station (approx. 130 minutes).

  • To buy a ticket, either do so:

Take a taxi directly from the airport to Kyoto Station (railway).

  • Taxi costs between 30,000 and 50,000 JPY (approx. £155-£260).
  • Approx. an 80-minute drive.

Or take the JR Haruka Limited Express train from Platform 4 at the JR section of the train at the airport.

  • Train costs 3,500 JPY (approx. £20).
  • Approx. a 75-minute journey.
  • To buy a ticket, either do so:
    • via the JR website or app.
    • by going to the kiosk and speaking to a member of staff.
